Small Bird Cages

The Bird Boyz have a goal: to share the fascinating world of birds with the world. We’ve spent more than a decade discovering what makes our favorite—and most intriguing—species tick, and how best to strike a happy balance between their world and our own.

Breeding and raising exotic bird species isn’t about making a quick buck. It’s about helping these species maintain their genetic integrity, health, and wellbeing, and teaching you how to care for them to enhance their quality of life—as well as your own!

Our Birds

The Bird Boyz source only the best—in breeding birds, enrichment toys, and cages. We’ve also got a wealth of knowledge to share with you about the species we specialize in…

The Indian Ringneck Parakeet

The Indian Ringneck parakeet—A.K.A. the rose-winged parakeet—has been a popular companion bird for centuries. She’s got a demanding personality and loves to be the center of attention. With love and attention, she’ll make a charming and exuberant buddy to you and your family.
Indian Ringnecks need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. They’re voracious learners, so be prepared to challenge them enrichment toys and variety in their day to day lives. These quirky creatures can go through a lot of toys, and enjoy throwing, catching, and—in the nicest possible way—destroying them.
Pro tip for keeping Indian Ringneck parakeets: let them take out their destructive tendencies on suitable fruits and veggies for an interactive treat.
Without mental stimulation, the Indian Ringneck can become difficult, destructive, or neurotic.
With proper care and diet, your Indian Ringneck parakeet can live for 30 years.

Amazon Parrots

These bold, green parrots are the party animals of the bird world—they’re loud, funny, and a joy to watch. They enjoy spray baths and playing in their water bowls, both of which are necessary for their feather health. If you choose Amazon parrots as your companion birds, be sure to offer enough safe space for them to splash around safely, without you having to panic about your floors or furniture getting saturated.
Amazon parrots need sturdy enrichment toys, like play gyms, climbing ropes, and ladders. They are prone to being overweight—a combination of hearty appetite and their ability to beg for your food scraps—so exercise is vital.
Amazon parrots can live for up to 60 years if they are properly cared for.
We also run a specialized breeding program for the Green Cheeks Conure—a petite, playful, and affectionate little conure; the African Grey—a hyper-intelligent, chatty parrot with a recognizable scalloped feather pattern and a clever disposition; and the Cockatiel—an extroverted, cuddly comedian (and the #1 companion bird in the U.S.)!
